We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our fast-paced and collaborative engineering team. You will be responsible for building impactful features, designing scalable backend systems, and contributing directly to product innovation. This role requires strong technical expertise, high ownership, and the ability to thrive in a startup environment where speed, quality, and collaboration matter equally.

1. 4–6 years experience in backend engineering
2. Minimum 2+ years hands-on experience with:

• TypeScript
• Express.js / Nest.js

3. Strong experience with MongoDB (or MySQL / PostgreSQL / DynamoDB)
4. Strong understanding of system design & scalable architecture
5. Hands-on experience in:

• Event-driven architecture / Domain-driven design
• MVC / Microservices

6. Strong in automated testing (especially integration tests)
7. Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar)
8. Experience managing production systems
9. Solid understanding of performance, reliability, observability
10. Cloud experience (AWS preferred; GCP/Azure acceptable)

What You Will Be Doing

• Build and deliver high-quality backend features in our Node.js codebase (actively migrating to TypeScript), driving both user experience and business growth.

• Work collaboratively with product, design, and data teams to identify and solve real customer and business problems. Engineers actively participate in deciding what and how to build.

• Design and develop scalable backend platforms to support rapid experimentation for product and marketing teams.

• Own product quality through writing automated tests, participating in code reviews, and ensuring observability and resilience throughout the system.

• Continuously improve codebases by refactoring, reducing technical debt, and enhancing architectural integrity.

• Architect systems for fast iteration, scalability, high availability, and smooth deployment cycles using Domain-Driven Design, CQRS, Event-Driven Architecture, and Cloud-Native principles.

• Contribute to defining engineering standards, improving development processes, and fostering a strong engineering culture across the team.

1. Experience: 4–6 years of hands-on backend engineering experience.

2. TypeScript Expertise: Minimum 2+ years of production experience with:

   • TypeScript

3. Database Strength: Strong experience with MongoDB or MySQL / PostgreSQL / DynamoDB.

4. System Design: Proven understanding of scalable system architecture and high-level design principles.

11. Coding Standards: Strong adherence to clean code practices, code reviews, refactoring, and engineering best practices.
