Role Overview

The Senior DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, securing, automating, and optimizing cloud infrastructure. The role demands deep expertise in AWS, CI/CD automation, monitoring, networking, scripting, and Infrastructure as Code. The ideal candidate must have experience running infrastructure at large-scale B2C product environments, preferably in OTT, media, or high-traffic applications.

Mandatory Criteria (Must Meet to Qualify)

• 5+ years of DevOps/SRE experience in cloud-native, product-based companies (B2C scale preferred).

• Strong hands-on AWS experience across advanced services (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, RDS, VPC, IAM, ELB/ALB, Route53, etc.).

• Proven experience designing high-availability & fault-tolerant architectures.

• Strong experience creating & managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins (GitHub Actions/GitLab CI added advantage).

• Expertise in microservices deployment strategies (Blue/Green, Canary releases).

• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools: Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, CloudWatch, New Relic, etc.

• Solid experience working with MongoDB in production (performance tuning, indexing, replication).

• Strong scripting skills: Bash, Shell, Python.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).

• Deep understanding of networking: VPC, subnets, NAT, routing, security groups.

• Hands-on experience in incident management & root cause analysis.

Key Responsibilities

1. AWS Cloud Infrastructure (Primary Focus)

• Architect and manage scalable, secure, high-availability cloud infrastructure.

• Optimize resources, performance, and cost.

• Ensure platform reliability for high-volume streaming workloads.

2. CI/CD Pipeline Automation

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and other tools.

• Automate deployments for microservices, APIs, and mobile applications.

• Implement safe rollout strategies (Blue/Green, Canary).

3. Monitoring & Observability

• Build dashboards and alerts to monitor system health in real-time.

• Implement logging, tracing, and performance analysis.

• Reduce downtime with proactive monitoring.

4. Security & Compliance

• Conduct cloud architecture risk assessments.

• Strengthen IAM, secrets management, firewall/waf policies, SSL/TLS handling.

• Minimize attack surfaces and enhance network isolation.

5. Scalability & Reliability Engineering

• Perform load analysis based on user behavior and peak patterns.

• Identify scalability bottlenecks across services, databases, CDN, and caching layers.

• Conduct capacity planning for high-traffic events and app releases.

6. Database & Storage Support

• Manage and optimize MongoDB for low-latency content delivery.

• Set up backup, recovery, and data replication strategies.

• Collaborate with backend teams for indexing and query optimization.

7. Automation & IaC

• Create and manage infrastructure using Terraform/CloudFormation/Ansible.

• Automate repetitive operational tasks.
